01. Mental Health Program
At AGYW Health and Wellness Alliance, our Mental Well-being Program is designed to support the emotional and psychological health of adolescent girls and young women up to the age of 25. The program focuses on fostering resilience, promoting self-care practices, and building a supportive community where young women can thrive mentally and emotionally. We begin by raising awareness about common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders through interactive workshops that not only educate participants but also help them recognize early warning signs in themselves and others. By addressing mental health openly, we aim to reduce the stigma surrounding these topics and encourage our girls to seek help when needed. We distribute easy-to-understand resources that explain different mental health conditions, their treatment options, and where to access services in the local community.Through peer support networks, mindfulness activities, and partnerships with counselors, our program empowers young women to prioritize their mental health in a safe and inclusive environment.
